With reference to your letter of 20th September 1921, No.45120/21, relative to the loss of a camera and field glasses, the property of a Prisoner of
War, Hans Adolph, I am directed to inform you that enquiries have been made of Major C. Lawder, and a copy
of his reply is enclosed for your information.
Further, I am to inform you that the Army
Council are unable to grant any compensation in respect
of losses of private property by German nationals while
interned.
